This beautiful, detached villa exudes luxury, with a private pool, lots of light and breathtaking views of the Montgrí mountain, among others. Located in the quiet and central neighborhood of El Pedró in L'Escala, it is within walking distance of the old town with all its stores, restaurants and just 400 meters from the beaches of Empúries. A great house in a prime location as you rarely find them and suitable for as many as twelve people. Its spaciousness makes Villa Alegre ideal for two families.
Upon entering the first level you will find a hallway, a twin bedroom, a family bathroom and two bedrooms, each with a double bed and access to the terrace. The master bedroom has a double bed, a private bathroom and also access to the terrace.
The spacious dining and living room is connected to the separate kitchen and an L-shaped veranda where you can dine and relax together, and offers access via a few steps to the XL private pool (10x5m) and garden.
On the upper level there is another bedroom with a double bed, a private bathroom and a terrace overlooking the pool, the garden and the hills.
On the lower level, adjacent to the garden and pool, there is a spacious family room that includes a pool table, a dartboard and a (sleeping) couch. There is also a bathroom with toilet and a second kitchen equipped with a washer and dryer. Both kitchens of the house are well equipped and have a dishwasher and refrigerator.
The barbecue area is a cozy place where all the walls and ceiling are overgrown, inviting extensive dining with a beautiful view of the garden and surroundings.
The villa has fiber optic internet with excellent WiFi coverage, internet TV and is air-conditioned. Parking is available directly in front and behind the villa (free of charge).

Originally a fishing village, L'Escala is today a modern resort with several wide sandy beaches and intimate coves. The center radiates all cosiness with its narrow streets and a restaurant or tapas bar on every corner. Enjoy tasty Spanish dishes here or have a drink on a terrace on the boulevard. The village hosts events and traditional fiestas throughout the year, with the Sardana dance at La Platja every Wednesday night in summer. Sardana is a folk dance and is an important part of Catalan culture.
Just steps away from Villa Alegre is the medieval village of Sant Martí d'Empúries, right on the beach, and the plaça major is one big terrace in the summer. Read more about this unique village.
Of course, you will find many other beautiful seaside resorts nearby such as Cadaqués, Roses or Empuriabrava. And how about the typical Spanish town of Figueres? Made world famous by the surrealist artist Salvador Dalí, who was born there. A visit to his museum in the town is a must see!
The hinterland of the Costa Brava offers a varied landscape and is home to picturesque villages such as Besalú or Peralada where it sometimes seems as if time has stood still. In short; sun, sea, nature, historic villages, beautiful towns and delicious food...you will find it all in and around L'Escala. This beautiful region on the Costa Brava has all kinds of surprises in store for you, it attracts many visitors every year for a reason.
Absolutely recommended is a visit to the metropolis of Barcelona, the city of Gaudi. See the unique Sagrada Familia, settle down on a terrace on the Ramblas and stroll at your leisure through the colorful Park Güell. By TGV / high-speed train (20-25 minutes away from Villa Alegre) you can be in the heart of Barcelona in just 50 minutes.
